Kle McCasland

Kle McCasland has spent more than twenty-five years building custom homes, and he has built or supervised more than fifty of them. He started in 1998 as a partner in Kle McCasland Premier Builder LLC with Aston Custom Homes, where the specialty was difficult hillside lots — the kind of ground where the site plan matters as much as the floor plan. From 2003 to 2008 he ran Kle McCasland Premier Builder as president, building custom homes from $1.4 million to $4.1 million along with the first phase of villas at Fire Rock Country Club and a multi-family development.

After the 2008 downturn he spent four years as a catastrophe claims adjuster, estimating storm damage and repair costs across thirty-two states. It is not a glamorous line on a builder's resume, but it is why his estimates are line-item and his change orders are in writing.

Since 2022 he has been a superintendent for some of the most demanding residential builders in Texas: Dowbuilt, where he managed three large projects including the $3.5 million Buford Residence at Austin Country Club, winner of a 2026 Austin Home Award; Homebound; and most recently Builders Workshop, directing on-site construction of luxury custom residences of $20 million and more. On every one of those jobs, he was the person on site — running the schedule, the subcontractors, the safety and the quality — from groundbreaking to final walkthrough.

Now he is building under his own name again, from Wimberley, for people who want that same person answering the phone.
